Pre 390th Pre 390th
I arrived in Viet Nam assigned to the 390th but the Unit was not in-country yet.  So I was sent to the 339th Transportation Company in Nha Trang.  Well the numbers were close and Nha Trang turned out to be close also.  The 339th was well developed with buildings, mess hall, and all the other effects of civilization.

In the 339th, I had my first experience with the rainy season better known as the Monsoon Season.  In December 1965, I was notified that the 390th had arrived in-country so I traveled to Phan Rang.
