As we came out the damage of Typhoon Freda, we got a new CO, Major Hugh Rhodes.  Major Rhodes felt the 390th should have some kind of operations center where he could have an office.  As usual with the 390th, nobody was going to do that for us so we undertook the project ourselves. Major Rhodes in temporary quarters. Since the maintenance folks were busy with the helicopters, it fell to the Tech Inspectors and other maintenance management to build the 390th Operations Center.  The project became known as "La Casa Rhodes."
